My approach to therapy utilizes an integrative method that incorporates Attachment Theory, Structured Theory, Strategic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Contextual Therapy, Emotion Focused Theory, Brief-Solution Theory, and Narrative Theory along with using Bowen's intergenerational patterns to help provide insight into behavioral issues.  By utilizing the integrative approach along with a faith-based foundation I am able to customize the therapy to the individual client in order to maximize the results of therapy and provide the ‘best’ approach for each client and their unique set of circumstances.

“I believe that each person makes the best choice they can every time in the moment with the information they possess; that their information is based on past life experiences, their perspective of those experiences, their understanding of the current situation, current thought processes, and the environment that surrounds them.  I beleive that people try to make the "right" decision everytime.  Yet they can look back at their previous decisions and wish they had made a different choice or done something else.

I also believe that individuals can find themselves in situations they did not anticipate, did not want, and they do not know exactly how to cleanly resolve their situation.   In a sense, people can find themselves “stuck” or lost with no real idea of how to get out.  I bring my unique and different perspective along with my education, knowledge, and experience in an effort to support and aid others in resolving their difficulties in life.

When someone chooses me as their therapist I consider it an honor and privilege to share in their journey through life.  It is my desire to be helpful to those around me.  I do this by applying the resources I have at my disposal to the situations my clients find themselves in.  I do all I can to help and assist my clients develop new and productive life skills they can take with them and use throughout the rest of their lives.”
